How to support yourself through seasons of intensity.

Truths, challenges and meditation magic.

A really great prompt to sit with physically and energetically this week is:

What is true for me today?

I shared this as a note this morning and realised I best get leading by example and sit with this prompt myself.

I wrote the question at the top of a new page so I wouldn’t forget.

As I type this, I’m holding space in circle as we heal through writing.

“I’m not writing today” one of us declared.

Speaking our truth aligns with the intention we each hold for this space. To show up as you are. To say how you really feel.

Come for the chat, arrive for the meditation – join us in full circle or dip in an out of each twice weekly session. This space is entirely for you.

Warrior Within 💌 Healing, Reformed is a sanctuary space for the holistic migraine warrior. A space of softness, strength and deep remembering. There is room for you here.

The washing machine is on as we set the timer for 44 minutes. I feel irritated by it. A truth that I write down in response to the question “what is true for me today?”.

In doing so, I realise it’s not the washing machine that is the problem I am making it out to be in my mind. It’s the feeling of irritation somewhere in my body that is coming up for my attention.

How can I say yes to this feeling? Instead of shoving it away, wishing it weren’t there and ignoring it. A very recent new practice of mine.

Allowing it enabled me to create space to ponder Healing Through Writing and how it has grown and evolved this year.

We don’t always sit down and write in this space.

Sometimes we come to be.

Sometimes we come to be held.

Sometimes we come to sit in silence.

Sometimes we come to receive.

Sometimes we come to hear the meditation.

Sometimes we come to see a familiar face.

Sometimes we come to move.

Sometimes we come to feel our body.

Sometimes we come to breathe.

Occasionally, we pull a card.

✨Warrior Within 💌 Healing, Reformed is your invitation to reconnect to the truth of who you are. Subscribe to receive power-packed insights, meditations and podcasts - designed to guide you back to your body, your breath, and your inner knowing.

One of us pulled a card to start their writing session that came with the most beautiful affirmation:

Even when I am resting, I am a radiant beacon of light.

The card I pulled for our circle today:

What feels impossible to you?

Another began a piece of journaling that took an unexpected turn. Although it was left for the time being in the messy middle, it was felt that healing was soon to follow.

We always light 3 candles.

Today we lit a candle in honour of support, the 2nd in honour of encouragement and the 3rd for cheerleading.

The latter one went down well. Perhaps that’s what we need most today? A little cheerleading? To know that someone has our back and is rooting for us? A little bird sat cheerily on our shoulder. Company by our side.

The candles we light always inspire the meditation.

Today’s meditation was a breathing/awareness practice. We inhaled ‘all that we need’ on each breath in. We allowed ourselves to soften and surrender on each breath out.

Join us in this practice by settling into a comfy spot whether seated or lying down.

There are no rules to our meditation practice here. You do not have to stay still.

Eyes closed or a gentle gaze to a spot in front of you.

This is a practice to drown out the noise around you – even when it is present (you might hear the washing machine that was connecting me to the irritation I felt within in the background!).

For now, settle in and enjoy the few moments meditation to start your day, your week or even for it to be the beginnings of a new practice that you can take into each new day.

Gentle invitation

Warrior Within💌Healing, Reformed is a space for you to land when your voice needs to be heard. Perhaps once you have listened to today’s meditation, ask yourself the question “what is true for me today?”.

For me, it was a feeling of irritation that hasn’t gone away. What came up for you?
