Manifest, Amber! More great things are ahead for you.
In my new yearβs spoonie yoga class today, we were invited to come up with a word for 2025. The one I came up with was βpersist.β To keep doing what Iβm doing, both everyday practices and the larger goals Iβm working on. Because Iβm making steady progress on all fronts.
Love it! Love that you do a spoonie yoga class. Iβve kept up my weekly session for 6 years now. I donβt know how I managed to show up in the states I did for the first few years, it went beyond any willpower and motivation I know that.
Persistence is a big one! Even when we donβt see what we hope to see. It comes. We can trust in that.
My word overall is "Crucible" (I'm in the States, so yeah); my goal for the year is to emerge as an indestructible *Diamond.*
My overview card is Demeter, the Greek matron who lost Her daughter temporarily and fought to get her back. There are layers of Her story to be unpacked in the near future.
As for planning the year to come, I have practically the whole month to do that. My Go Time is with the Aquarius new moon, which starts the year of the Snake. Potent times ahead!
Oh wow! I feel for the nation immensely. Though I see no other way than to emerge in a similar fashion and I feel there is opportunity for that. In all its horror, itβs shining a light on so much that needs to be seen. Especially if we are ever going to bring about much needed change. Yesterday, I felt the energy of a rise. I guess like Maya Angelou so aptly put it βstill, I riseβ.
I am the same with January! Allowing myself that last year (without guilt for the first time), led to huge momentum from the 1st Feb π
I love that..."ready to be seen". I just want to be in 2025 and have the strength and hope to keep up the good fight with the political hell we're about to enter into here. Definitely going to take some time to think over your great prompts too. You just reminded me I have an oracle deck too my friend got me for my birthday in Sedona. No better time to get that back out than now. Thank you and happy New Year βΊοΈ
Yes, please, get that oracle deck out! I only use mine when inspired, I know for some pulling a card can be a daily/energy specific practice.
Iβve just shared in my other comment response that yesterday, I was feeling the energy of rising. And itβs reminded me of Maya Angelouβs poem and I guess you could say mantra, Still I Rise.
When we look back over the greatest of adversity in our Her and His Story, we are inundated in whatβs possible - even amidst the greatest, bleakest and most challenging trials human kind has ever faced.
I do believe amidst this atrocity, there is hope. There is possibility. There will be cracks for the new to growπ±
That's an epic list Amber π My words for the new year are groundedness and trust. I want to focus on doing less instead of more, coming back to simplicity and ease π
Love those words! My partner chose simplicity for his word of the year last year. It was so powerful it took him out of the corporate world and now heβs set up self employed doing work he loves and enjoying everyday π
What a lovely list! I like the combo of actionable tickable things, visualising something you want to happen and then the values wise. And YESSSSS to Malaga!!!!! Welcome anytime (apart from summer as weβre not here and itβs too hot π).
Oh no way! We couldβve had our wedding this Easter π€π€£π Iβm sorry to hear that though, he must be disappointed. I hope that a trip here will help relieve some of that sadness. π
Ooh fab. Love the song choice too! Iβm working on my stuff at the mo, so not fully formed yet. Looking for a word that encompasses nurture and connectionβ¦!
βbiophiliaβ is one that came up on a google search π it might not sound sexy but itβs a word thatβs used to describe our innate need and instinct to connect with nature π
I struggle with jealousy. My mum always said to me when I was little that friends who were mean to me were always jealous. I could never wrap my head around why anyone would be jealous of me. But now I recognise we all have qualities and instincts that come naturally to us and we can envy these in others.
Whilst that is the case, I do also believe we can learn the skills we envy in others. We can connect more deeply to jealousy being a sign of what it is we truly want.
In this context, I guess it does make great fuel for the fire!π₯π₯
Exactly that! I heard someone say once, treat jealousy as a sign of what you want from life and that really changed my outlook on that feeling and what I want to work towards.
I hope you have a lovely New years ππ thanks for all your encouragement this year, I've really enjoyed the writers group. I'm looking forward to seeing what 2025 brings x
I love your list Amber. All the best for 2025! I love the word flourish and try and use it as often as possible in writing! I think you will!
Iβm still thinking but I think my word might be bloom.
And my favourite song is Here Comes the Sun by the Beatles. Itβs carried me through many hard times so I choose that. Maybe it will actually come in 2025! β¨π
Iβm seeing the word all over in writing but when I mentioned it to a friend the other day as part of a hook for my next book, she said it sounded old fashioned. I think weβve made it a come back though!
Love the song! And the word bloom! That might be a popular one as Iβve heard that one for next year already, sounds energetically aligned. Next year will be a great year for many - which to me means more support available for those who arenβt feeling that way, yet.
I donβt think it sounds old fashioned, it sounds beautiful! I think itβs a popular one, Iβm calling my new offering bloom, maybe itβs time for us all to bloom and flourish this year. β¨
Happy new year to you tooπ Iβm just looking into the Chinese new year, itβs the year of the snake. Great for transformation and prosperity π sounds good to me!

To Imbolc we go! Slowly and with many cups of tea, of courseβ¦

Weβre thinking either side of Easter fortnight now Rael canβt go to Everest base camp π
Oh no, because of his knee??? π
Yepπ

I love the idea of having a theme tune for the new year π₯³! I think mine would be a song I heard recently by Tuxedo, called Cake. The lyrics being:
'Keep on moving up and reaching higher
Never let nobody dim your light
Use the jealousy to fuel your fire
Keep that finish line within your sight'
Added that to my playlistππΊπ½
A lot of wisdom in those lines!
I struggle with jealousy. My mum always said to me when I was little that friends who were mean to me were always jealous. I could never wrap my head around why anyone would be jealous of me.
