Part 3 in an accidental series following this year’s health nuggets, the popular ta da list and now setting the scene for some new year’s intentions.
I began the practice of writing 24 things I wanted to do only this time last year. Inspired by
who I met at a hen party ten years ago and have since become super close, having bonded over our shared stories with chronic illness. We’ve shared many similarities in our health journeys, in that we’ve taken radical ownership of the horror show we’ve found ourselves the main character in. We’ve researched the crap out of our condition. We’ve flung ourselves into the unknown and come out the other side. Now we’re both sharing our journey to inspire and support others.
It was Sheila who gave me the idea for writing 24 things I wanted to do in 2024.
I’m not increasing it to 25 things I want to do in 2025 in the same way that she is, as I’m happy with averaging it out to 2 things a month.
Here’s my list for 2025:
1. Ice skating (one of only two on my list that I didn’t get round to doing this year)
2. Sacred Sunday (a retreat day booked in for my January birthday)
3. The Warrior’s Program (a funded training course me and my partner are both eligible to attend)
4. Write another book
5. Publish Migraine & Me: Companion, Guide & Journal
6. Publish Migraine: A Journey
7. Reach out to Hay House re the 4th book they have expressed interest in.
8. Create a habit around the new monthly offering, Free To Be Me.
9. Build it and they will come (a message I received last month).
10. More sleepovers.
11. Climb a few mountains.
12. Enjoy a few more phone breaks.
13. Revisit Malaga.
14. Feel more bliss!
15. Speak at events.
16. Make my big dreams come true!
17. Stay on the path of ease and release (trickier than you might think).
18. See the stars.
19. Hear silence.
20. Explore. Adventure. Have fun.
21. Fall more in love with the Mr.
22. Continue rewriting my story.
23. Cheerlead others all the way.
24. Do something for me. Everyday.
How do you want to feel in 2025?
I want to feel fulfilled. Like I’m making a difference.
I want to feel seen!
My theme for 2025 is around being “ready to be seen”.
My word of the year is flourish. It was a word that came to me back in November. I began to see the word everywhere and realised it was speaking to me.
How do you decide your word of the year?
What is your theme for 2025?
Thanks to
’s invitation to decide on a theme song for the year, I heard Good Life by Inner City the following day and felt a connection to that song and the words.“Let me take you to a place I know you want to go, it’s a good life”.
If you chose a theme song for the new year, which one would you pick?
Whilst you’re choosing, why not choose a card for the next year?
The one I selected from Rebecca Campbell’s Work Your Light oracle deck was The Age of Light.
From which I took the following messages:
“I have been training for this for lifetimes”
2025 will be
All light
No darkness (in the main)
Lots more ease
Cosmic connection
Standing tall
Ready to be seen
“This is not the lifetime to stay hidden. I step forth to be seen and rise”.
What can you intuit from the card you picked?
Over to you
Spend some time over the new year reflecting on a few of the following prompts. Come back and share them with us in the comments?
What’s on your wish list for 2025?
How do you want to feel next year?
How do you choose a word to anchor you into the new year?
What is your theme for the coming 12 months?
If you chose a theme song for the new year, which one would you pick?
Whilst you’re choosing, why not choose a card for the next year?
What can you intuit from the card you picked?
Psst
Our 2nd session of Free To Be Me starts at 12noon the week after next. A newly introduced donation based offering that comes with a tier-based suggestion so that you can practice meeting yourself where you’re at. You will know if this offering is for you as you will feel drawn to it in some way.
Happy New Year 😍 😍
Manifest, Amber! More great things are ahead for you.
In my new year’s spoonie yoga class today, we were invited to come up with a word for 2025. The one I came up with was “persist.” To keep doing what I’m doing, both everyday practices and the larger goals I’m working on. Because I’m making steady progress on all fronts.
HNY! 🥂🩵
