It was a wonderful morning together, again. I'm so glad to be back in the Monday morning writing flow after missing a couple in January! xx

Great piece! I guess the most common thing for me is that people presume I'm doing something wrong because I haven't got well. I have times of improvement (hopefully now even if very very, oh so painfully slow) but I haven't got to a place of earning (other than an occasional art sale) there's so much judgement on people who are unable to work, as if it's a choice! I’m realising so much about the narrative lately. That it all comes from a place of blame (control only exists where there is blame), judgements and assumptions too - this has been such an acceptable way of being, even in the medical field (it was set up this way).

It’s a bonkers place to be in. I’m sorry to hear that’s how people react to your situation. The lack of understanding and insight drives me crazy. At the same time, I know we’re here to change that. And sharing our story is one way to do that.

Love this! I've heard a lot of the same things, sadly. Also being asked "Are you coping better now? Do you feel like your health is improving?" as if it's all in my head and a mind over matter situation. It's so frustrating!

It's interesting that you wonder whether it's been more difficult to recover with these kinds of comments. Would we heal better if we heard words of understanding and affirmation? Or do these kinds of comments ignite a fire in us to heal in spite of them!?

The mindset thing has really got to me quite a lot on this journey too! The books written on mindset have been best sellers over the last decade plus. We’ve been deeply conditioned to see all our power in only in the mind and forget we have this physical part to ourselves (along with emotional and spiritual🙃).

You make a good point there! I guess it could easily go one way or the other? The one thing I do know for certain though is that we play the greatest part in our own journey. How we find ourselves is not our fault, but only we can take responsibility for it.
