Reader question where I was asked by a friend who's daughter is suffering from migraine disease, currently in bed with head pain and nausea. Happens frequently. What can you recommend?
Yep, hers started in her 50’s! So I was really cheering on the neurologist on last years migraine world summit when he said healthcare professionals are now being asked to stop staying it will eventually Peter out.
Nothing outside of my Nan’s experience. We’ve been fobbed off with it being a headache for the last few hundred years and the fact it’s still referred to as a mere headache often leads to little insight and understanding generationally. I’ve been in threads on here and in many conversations where people invalidate their own lived experience, pain and suffering and don’t recognise what they’re talking about is migraine attack. I’m being called to write about how all experiences are valid, all pain is painful irrespective of scale and whether the symptoms are entirely disabling or not - and thus is another sign to write about it😆

Yikes!! Do you know anything about the generational line any further back?
