1) I love the pictures you always weave into these posts. They are so soothing. Thank you for that.
2) I found the spiritual privilege section super interesting, and I resonated with your characterization of it. It was the first time that I recognized this inner knowing as a sort of privilege, but I can think of people who don’t come by it easily, and you are absolutely right. It’s a huge advantage in terms of recovery from these esoteric illnesses that medical science has not entirely figured out yet.
3) Thank you for linking to my disability justice piece here. You really went back a bit in the archive! Much appreciated 🫶🏻
Aw thanks🥰 you are the first person to compliment my pictures! But i always do hope they have that effect💛
I’ve only just woken up to the spiritual aspect being privilege. I still get triggered by the conversation around it (even though i am someone with so much of it). Every time I become activated, I go deeper into sitting with it. This was the last insight I had that was a huge lightbulb moment 💡
Reading books like Left to Tell and the story of Nelson Mandela has taught me that all our material privilege can be stripped away, but no one can take our spiritual privilege. An aspect of privilege we don’t talk about - and do we even realise we have it?
I believe our reconnection with it has the possibility of taking us further than we imagine. Particularly in the recovery of chronic illness.
In all stories shared - whether recovered or not, in books or on here, I always see a deep connection to faith whether that person is aware of it or not (they usually aren’t). It permeates humanity and always has done. This possibility that there is a way (even if we think it is out of our scope). This belief in our ability to get well. Often times I wonder if we are just on the path to figuring out how.
And No matter how much we try, fear can never extinguish faith. Never.
I’m very much your cheerleader now I’m in your life 📣 I’m sure your ears burn on a regular basis of me singing your praises! You’re an inspiration in the path you chose 💚

Oh defo - I have lots of cheerleaders now though perhaps you’re my biggest one🤩
Next Sundays post is all set to go out - what people said to me face to face. There’ll be some surprises in there!
I’m so glad to be possibly your biggest fan!
I look forward to reading it 😁
