Warrior Weekly: Vibing High
What's new from me this week, the highs, the lows and everything in between.
Monday – after succumbing to self-doubt on Linked In a week earlier, I owned it and published the post I had intended a week later. Doing so triggered a low-level anxiety that I was aware of but chose to comfortably ignore! Did loads of behind-the-scenes stuff which led to me becoming clearer on my main message. Like a lot of things in my life, there’s still a little polishing to be done, but a day where I felt like things are really starting to take shape and come together.
Tuesday – a writing day. I wrote a guest blog for Claire at
. Are you a fan of her work? Alongside the usual Monday to Friday dog walking Milo job as well as making the most of the weeklong glorious sunshine weather we’ve been having. Oh, and a continuation of ignoring the low-level anxiety.Wednesday – online weekly check-in with
. A space to voice my low-level anxiety resulting in some movement that helped shift and clear it. Once upon a time I would’ve ignored it until it became so high-level that I would only just be able to leave the house and could barely function. Not anymore! Work in the afternoon meant a most welcome catch up with published author friend, Lorraine Buxton and her monthly bodywork session. An incredible poetry writer and author of The Tapestry of Life, A Second Chance and Mayfield Book Corner. All a most excellent holiday accompaniment if you’re looking for such a book to read and enjoy over the summer. I’d say Wednesday was the highlight of my week as it finished with a birthday tea for my friend but it only got better from hereon in. It’s amazing what opens up when you check-in with yourself and pay attention to the niggles.Thursday – typed up a couple of blogs, Celebrating 5 Years Sober has turned into a mini-series. Not something I’ve spoken about much on any platform, yet HUGE. There is a 30% take up for dry January every year and with more people ditching the drink altogether we are starting to wake up to better health, less brain fog and improved energy levels as a result. I’ll be sharing these soon. Saw a regular client for her monthly pedicure at lunchtime before heading to my sisters for a sleepover. She booked in for a lash-lift with me before heading out for tea, leaving me on bedtime duties with my niece and nephew. No squabbles and so much fun!
Friday – an early start! I picked up a life-long friend at 4:30am for a hot air balloon ride that was confirmed the night before. Only on arrival we were informed it was too windy and we have to rebook! Went deep on my 2nd experience in a floatation tank before heading to Cleethorpes with boyf for the nation’s best fish & chips and a walk along the beach. A perfect end to a perfect day.
Friday was an intentional day of celebration from beginning to end - it was the day Hay House announced the Writers Workshop winner! I received an email in Cleethorpes notifying that the standard of submission was extremely high and, on this occasion, I wasn’t one of the winners. Strangely, I didn’t feel the disappointment I might have expected, I feel sure a book deal is coming so it’ll come when the time is right.
Saturday – first ever car boot sale! Clear blue skies and spectacular sunshine made for a great day of it. Sold a few things and walked away with £133! Made a few great connections whilst I was there and a new client booked in for half a day’s pamper. Yippeeeeee!
Sunday – FABULOUS day in York for a surprise 50th before heading to meet a friend for a teatime walk. It’s been a high energy week – I’m in my summer/lover week menstrually so it’s peak/ovulation week. On the back of the last 3 month’s health blip I haven’t felt at my peak nor high in energy so it’s another sure sign that I’m out the other side of that. Hoorah!!
Here’s to the new week ahead!
What a brilliant week!!! Rollercoaster of the vulnerability anticipation and you style it out so so well. Can’t wait to see what’s next and when you get that next hot air ballon ride?! 🎢 ♥️
