Warrior Weekly: Flying high
An amazing week, loving life, giving treatments, helping out, being of service and getting back on it!
Monday – Mailing List Magic with
. If you haven’t discovered it for yourself yet, there is so much magic to this woman’s work! I’ve been an avid reader of her Notes from the Sea for 4 years now and the change in my life is massive (even outside of all the healing). Another day and 2 dog walks in the baking sun. Holiday nails for a client and an early night.Tuesday – day off. Well I say a day off, I updated all my financial spreadsheets (then lost the saved version). Did some more work on the 5 years sober blog – ended up adding so much more to it that I didn’t get chance to share it. Got triggered and had to take a break instead! Started reading a book way out of my comfort zone, “Caliban and the Witch”. It feels important to read and understand our history - I’m finding much of it was conveniently removed from history lessons. Not that it matters that much anyway - I can’t remember much of what I learnt at school. Feels important to understand our past so I’m persevering with this academic text and absorbing what I can.
Wednesday – happy summer solstice! A time of year for celebrations and manifestations. Reflecting on reasons to celebrate the past 6 months and think about where I want to be in 6 month’s time. A powerful time of year and great to see how far I’ve come. I can’t tell you the difference this practice made to me this time last year, after experiencing the darkest of starts. Weekly Wednesday online check in with
and some strength training yoga. I’ve come along way from where I once was this time 5 years ago. People can’t believe how I’ve built my strength up through yoga and movement (like walking) alone. I can’t believe how well I am and wonder how (as a society) we’ve moved so far away from wellness. All when we could simply swap a few modern day practices for ancient ones.Thursday – the return of a client here at 7 Lakes. When she gets chance to come across, she books me in for the full day! Manicure, pedicure, lash lift, brow wax/tint, lip wax and bodywork. 2 hour break at lunchtime so she could attend a work meeting online and I could walk Milo and eat. Don’t know what’s going on this week but compliments are flying in at all angles. To the point it could have been really overwhelming and there’s no way I could keep up with them all. Decided to remind myself the best thing to do is remain open to receiving and remember that I am worthy and deserving of them. Sounds so simple, but have you ever tried it?
Friday – went to get back on it with my podcast. Wrote a draft of what I wanted to say then couldn’t get on the internet! Been itching to return to it ever since an avid listener commented for the first time Migraine at Work. Sharing how she’d been listening, felt inspired and was even making changes on the back of what she was learning from me! People are listening to me! Lives are changing! Healing is happening!
4th floatation tank experience. Though I didn’t go as deep as previous - in fact, my mind was pretty active and I couldn’t get out of my head - I am really feeling the deeper benefits of reaching this level of awareness. An awareness that only 600kg of epsom salts and a blocking out of all the senses can gift you.
Saturday – Take 2 for the returning podcast. All recorded! Went phenomenally well, was really chuffed with myself . Until a friend messaged to let me know it was on double speed! No idea how that happened (a glitch maybe?) but if you’d like to hear me share a 6 month update on where I was with the last episode to where I am now on super quick speed listen here.
Invited to a spa day by a client’s daughter. DIY facial, foot spa, food and even had a cheeky (one off) cocktail. My god was it good! Had been booked to give everyone 30-45 minute bodywork treatments. The feedback was amazing and the host wants me back for her and her husband (there’s a theme when it comes to treating wife and husband, I have a few couple clients). Her mum, aunt and uncle already book in every month and never stop talking about my magic hands 😊 Once you know you know, but you have to feel it for yourself to believe it. Bodywork is sooo much more than a massage.
Sunday – first mountain hike with the Mr and a little scramble in parts. Food after then home to bed as overdid it this weekend. A sneaky move from summer week into autumn can have this effect. I slept for 12 hours and am a day later than usual in sharing this.
Aww Amber I love these updates - thanks so much for the mention!! ✨🌀
